Coal Platform: Οι παρουσιάσεις των συναντήσεων στις 26~27.2.2018 ["Coal Regions in Transition Platform Working Groups: launch and first meetings"]

The European Commission launched the Platform on Coal Regions in Transition in December 2017. As part of the Platform’s activities, its two working groups will now hold their first meetings:
- The ‘Post Coal Economy and Structural Transformation’ group will cover strategies and projects focusing on the economic diversification of coal regions
- The ‘Eco-Innovation and Advanced Coal Technologies’ group will cover strategies and projects focusing on the improvement of air quality and coal-based technologies which are compatible with the long-term vision of the decarbonisation of the European economy.
At these first meetings, the Platform’s Work Programme for 2018-2019 will be presented and discussed. Regional strategies and priority projects by pilot coal regions, as well as financing issues, will also be on the agenda.
